Financing FAQs

What is the Get Tatted Now, Pay Later financing option?

It is a way to split the cost of your tattoo into payments through Shop Pay at Tagz Tattoo in Mesa, instead of paying the whole amount up front. You pick the artist you want, find the project size and placement you are after, check what you qualify for, and once you know your amount you set up a payment plan and get scheduled. It is built for people who want the piece they actually want without waiting to save for the whole thing at once.

Does checking how much I qualify for affect my credit score?

No. Checking what you qualify for is a soft credit pull, which does not affect your credit score. It uses basic personal information to tell you how much you can be approved for, so you can see your options before you commit to anything.

If I use financing, do I still owe a deposit to book?

No. Once you and your artist have talked through the date or dates for your project, you check out using the Shop Pay option on the specific project you want to book. After you set up your payment plan with the financing company, we get you scheduled in. There is no separate deposit to pay on top of that.

What kinds of projects is financing best for?

You can use financing on any size project. We usually recommend it for the bigger pieces, like multi-day sessions and sleeves, so you get the most out of splitting the cost into payments. Smaller pieces work too if that is what fits you best.

How do I set up financing before my appointment?

Start on the artist page and pick the artist you want, where you can see their pricing and how their projects work. Find the project size and placement that matches what you want, then check your purchasing power to see what you qualify for. Once you know your amount, reach out to your artist through the inquiry form to confirm your idea, your dates, and that the project fits, and set up your payment plan before you come in.

Finding the shop in Mesa, and what we work with

We are at 2735 E Main St, Suite 9, Mesa, AZ 85213, in Maricopa County. The suite sits on the East Main corridor a short block west of Lindsay Road, with Val Vista Drive about a mile further east. The door faces Main and parking is out front.

If you are not driving, the Valley Metro light rail runs the length of Main Street and ends at the Gilbert Road station, roughly a mile west of the door, so the last stretch is a short ride or walk east along Main.

  • Aftercare we actually stock. Mad Rabbit foam wash, glide, soothing gel and patches are sold at the front counter, so you can walk out with the same aftercare your artist tells you to use.
  • Shop Pay. The Get Tatted Now, Pay Later plans run on Shop Pay at checkout, which is why the payment split happens on the product page rather than through a separate lender in the shop.
  • Arizona age law. A.R.S. §13-3721 is the statute that governs tattooing anyone under eighteen in this state. We go further than the statute does: eighteen and over with a valid photo ID, no exceptions.
  • Valley Metro. Route and station times for the Main Street line are on the Valley Metro maps and schedules page at valleymetro.org if you are planning the trip in from Tempe or west Mesa.
