We are up in Mesa at 2735 E Main St, Suite 9, and Gilbert is a short run north. Come up Gilbert Road or Lindsay Road, the straight north-south runs out of Gilbert into Mesa, and you land on East Main near the shop.

Coming from the Heritage District or Power Ranch, the drive is quick. Starting at Val Vista Lakes or Morrison Ranch, take Val Vista or Higley up to Main and head west.

East Valley is car country, so nobody thinks twice about the trip. Parking is easy and the door faces Main.

The distances here are straight-line from 2735 E Main St, give or take, taken between map coordinates. Driving is longer. Val Vista Lakes is about 3.3 miles away, south and a little east, and the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch about 4.3 in the same direction. The Gilbert Historical Society Museum at 10 S Gilbert Road is 4.6 miles south and slightly west. Town Hall at 50 E Civic Center Drive, where the town keeps its 9/11 memorial, is 5.8 south. Morrison Ranch is 5.9, Cosmo Dog Park 6.7 and Agritopia 6.8. Power Ranch is the long one at 10.4.

On OpenStreetMap, Gilbert Road and Lindsay Road both run close to due north and south, and both cross East Main Street. Gilbert Road meets Main about 0.95 miles west of our address, so from there you turn east. Lindsay meets Main less than a tenth of a mile east of the 2735 address point. Come up Lindsay, turn west, and you are nearly at the door. Val Vista Drive and Higley Road also meet Main, farther east, so those two are a turn west as well.

Loop 202, the Santan Freeway, is Gilbert's main freeway. Its Lindsay Road interchange, exit 43, opened on September 15, 2022. US 60 only grazes the northern edge of town, at the Higley Road interchange, exit 186. From that exit Higley Road runs about 2 miles north to Main, by the coordinates.

Gilbert has a real tattoo scene of its own. The Heritage District, that 0.3-square-mile grid of restaurants and murals around the color-changing Water Tower, has Fifth Estate Tattoo right on Vaughn Ave at 60 W Vaughn, with Black Lotus and Dark Horse a short way off.

So you have looked at the downtown corridor already, or you will. What people drive to us for is our owner.

This is AG's shop, and he started it and assembled the team. Black and grey realism is his lane, and it is most of what gets done here.

He posts it on TikTok and YouTube, @agtattoos, healed and fresh both. Watch the healed stuff before you book, because a piece six months out tells you more than a photo taken while the skin is still swollen and shining.

There is a barber in the same building. Get a piece, get a fresh cut, same visit.

One Google review sums that up as a one stop shop. The place is big, with several rooms, and the one we call The Big Room gives a long back or leg session space to stretch out, so nobody gets crammed into a corner around somebody else.

Month to month the lineup shifts, and our owner is the one name that stays put. Recent clients may have sat with Eddy, Cam, Alex, Steve, Priscilla, Tanner, Carlos or Presley.

Black and grey realism accounts for most of what walks out of this shop, though some of the artists work in color, fine line, and traditional as well.
