  • Open 12–10PM daily
  • Walk-ins welcome · 18+
  • $150 shop minimum

You have to be 18 or older with a valid ID, no exceptions, and the shop minimum is $150, which is what any real tattoo runs before you get into size and detail. We are on the East Main corridor near the light rail, a few minutes east of the Mesa Temple, and people swing through from Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, and Apache Junction. Best move on a walk-in is to come earlier in the day rather than at nine at night, since an artist needs time to draw it up and actually tattoo it before close.

What gets done on a walk-in

A walk-in is built for the piece you can start and finish in one sitting. Small to medium work is the sweet spot, and if a chair is open when you walk in, you can be under the needle the same day. Bigger projects work differently. They need a real design session and get mapped across multiple sittings, so the artist will set you up with a free consult and a booking instead of rushing it. Rushing a big piece is how you end up with work you regret.

Good to go, same day

Walk in
  • Lettering and script: names, dates, words
  • Small to medium black and grey
  • Fine line and simple color
  • Symbols and memorial marks
  • Anything you can finish in one sitting

Better to book a consult

Plan it out
  • Full and half sleeves
  • Chest pieces and back pieces
  • Realistic portraits
  • Large cover-ups
  • A specific artist or style you are set on

How a walk-in works

  1. Call ahead if you want. Ring (480) 670-1037 to check who is working and whether there is a wait before you drive over.
  2. Come in. Noon to 10PM, any day. Earlier in the day is better, since the artist needs time to draw it up and tattoo it before close.
  3. Show your ID. Eighteen or older with a valid, unexpired photo ID. Hard rule, no exceptions.
  4. Get matched. We put you with whoever is open and right for your piece, across black and grey, fine line, color, script, and traditional.
  5. Get tattooed. If a chair is open for your piece, you walk out with fresh ink the same day.

What to bring

  • A valid photo IDUnexpired, showing you are 18 or older. No ID means no tattoo, no matter what.
  • ReferenceA photo, screenshot, or drawing. It is easier to tattoo a picture than a description in your head.
  • A placement in mindKnow that spots over bone, the hand, ribs, and foot, test you more than a forearm or calf.
  • PaymentCard or cash for at least the $150 shop minimum, more depending on size and detail.
  • An empty-stomach fixEat before you come in, so you do not get lightheaded in the chair.
  • A clear headCome sober. Alcohol thins your blood and no artist here will tattoo someone who has been drinking.

Walk in today, noon to 10

Open every day in Mesa, walk-ins welcome, 18 and up with ID. Call ahead to check the wait or just come by 2735 E Main St, Suite 9.

When the wait is worth it

Walk-ins run on who is open, so there can be a wait, and a busy Friday or Saturday night fills up fast. Calling ahead to (480) 670-1037 before you drive over is smart, since you can ask who is working, whether there is a wait, and whether your idea is a same-day job or something that should be booked. If your heart is set on a particular artist or a particular style, booking beats walking in, because the artist you want may already be with a client for the rest of the night. But if you are flexible and you just want good work done today, walk in and we will get you to whoever is open and right for the piece.

Finding us and parking

We are at 2735 E Main St, Suite 9, in the strip center off Main Street near Lindsay Road in Mesa. Parking is free in the lot right out front, so you are not feeding a meter or circling the block before your session. If you are coming in from Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, or Scottsdale, Main Street runs straight through, and the light rail on Main drops you within walking distance if you would rather not drive. The shop runs noon to 10 every day, so an evening walk-in after work is just as doable as a midday one.

What the shop is actually like

This is a big shop, several rooms, one of them we call The Big Room, so a walk-in does not mean getting crammed into a corner while the place is busy. There is a barber in the same building too, which is why a lot of guys make it one stop and get a fresh cut with their fresh ink on the same visit. The crew here works mostly in black and grey, and AG, who owns the place, runs high-contrast black and grey realism. On any given day the roster covers more than that though, fine line, color, script and lettering, traditional, so if you walk in with a specific look you can usually be matched to whoever fits it best.

Walk-in tattoo FAQ

Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome every day from noon to 10PM. Come in, show ID, and if a chair is open for your piece you can get tattooed the same day. For a specific artist or a big project, calling ahead or booking a consult is the better move.
How old do I have to be?
Eighteen, with a valid unexpired photo ID. That is a hard rule with no exceptions, so bring your ID every time. Without it, no artist here can tattoo you.
What does a walk-in cost?
The shop minimum is $150, which covers the smallest work. Anything past that depends on size, placement, and detail, and the artist will quote you before starting. Bring a card or cash to cover it.
Can I get a big tattoo on a walk-in?
Small to medium pieces are ideal for same-day work. A full sleeve, chest piece, portrait, or large cover-up needs a design session and multiple sittings, so those get set up as a free consult and a booking instead of rushed in one visit.
What should I bring?
A valid photo ID showing you are 18 or older, reference for what you want, a placement in mind, and payment for at least the $150 shop minimum. Eat beforehand, and come sober, since alcohol thins your blood and no artist will tattoo someone who has been drinking.
